Draft Grade: F
|
| New Orleans started off smart, landing Robert
Meachem with their first round pick. The last time New
Orleans drafted a receiver in round one from Tennessee,
his name was Donte Stallworth. Saints fans are hoping Meachem
can bring more to the table. Without question, the need
for a WR was most critical for the Saints considering the
offseason loss of Joe Horn. Meachem will team with 2006
Draft sleeper Marques Colston. The Saints fell asleep after
drafting Meachem however. With the exception of RB Antonio
Pittman, drafted in round four, but don't expect any
of the Saints draft picks to be high-impact players. And
Pittman himself has talent, but don't expect to see much
of it with Bush and McAllister still in charge of the ground
game. The rest of New Orleans' day two should be forgotten. |
