Draft Grade: A-
|
| K.C. has been without a #1 go-to receiver
for a long time, so good to see them address that need right
off the bat. Dwayne Bowe is a big, athletic target
and a perfect addition to the passing game. The Chiefs followed
that up with some smart choice in rounds two and three,
acquiring two very impressive talents in Turk McBride
and Tank Tyler. Both DTs, McBride and Tyler are fierce
interior linemen and that's exactly what this defense needs,
a powerful duo for the front line who can collectively occupy
a lot of space and blockers, freeing up their athletic LB
corps to make plays. K.C. knew exactly what their day one
focus was and they addressed it perfectly. On day two, K.C.
found a good compliment/backup for Larry Johnson by landing
Kolby Smith in round five. And considering all the
losses to the O line, K.C. was lucky to land an athletic
OT like Herbert Taylor in round six. Another smart
choice. |
